Enno Lenze has travelled from Berlin to Ukraine repeatedly since the start of the Russian invasion, ABC España reports. His experience in armed conflicts made him realise early on that he was looking at something different: a war that moves much faster and costs much less.
"In Kurdistan, it took hours to detect and respond to an enemy movement. In Ukraine, this happens in minutes: a Russian UAV reconnaissance drone detects the target and sends the coordinates in real time to an FPV drone unit, which immediately launches the attack. Ukrainians call it artillery Tinder and that is a 'match'," he said.
Lenze went on to focus on who was making these drones, which money paid for them and which components they contained, according to the outlet.
