Saudi Arabia's General Directorate of Passports said Sunday it had begun processing status corrections for Yemeni nationals residing in the kingdom without legal residency, acting on royal directives.

According to Arab News, the directorate set out which groups the initiative covers and the facilitations open to those eligible in posts on its official X account.

The first group comprises Yemenis who hold neither identification documents nor a Yemeni passport. They are to be given a visit visa free of charge that remains valid for six months.
