Paddy Pimblett is continuing to push for a season of The Ultimate Fighter built around himself and Ilia Topuria, according to ABC España. The Liverpool-born fighter, nicknamed "The Baddy" inside the cage, first put the idea forward days earlier when he was questioned about the state of the lightweight division, and has since kept making his case to the UFC.
The British fighter has argued to the promoter that a program with Topuria, known as El Matador, and himself in charge of the two squads would be worth backing because it would restore the audiences the reality show attracted years ago. He is revisiting a scenario that had already been floated in the past.
"Ilia and I would make a brilliant season of TUF," Pimblett said when asked about the prospect of a fight with Topuria.
Alongside the coaching proposal, Pimblett addressed a possible meeting in the cage with El Matador and said he would have him, in the words of the headline, "against the ropes."
