Law enforcement officials in California are looking for additional victims after two bodies were discovered in a remote part of Lancaster, a small city roughly 70 miles north of Los Angeles, according to the Guardian US.
The remains were found on Tuesday in a shallow grave while authorities were investigating a missing persons case, the Guardian reported, citing KTLA.
The sheriff's department handling the discovery is investigating the deaths as a homicide, according to the report.
Details about the two people found in the grave remain scarce, the Guardian said, drawing on reporting by the Los Angeles Times.
