Starting next Monday, the route of the Tussam CJ1 line, between San Bernardo and Palmas Altas, will gain two new stops in the neighborhood. As detailed by the City Council in a press release, the modification of the CJ1 route will allow buses to surround the neighborhood along Santorini and Barbados streets, through an increase in the number of stops, which will go from the current three to five. In this way, on Isla Natura there will be two stops on Santorini Street and three on Barbados Street. In this sense, the Mobility delegate and president of Tussam, Álvaro Pimentel, explained that since its inauguration on January 7, line CJ1 has already transported 84,660 passengers. «This very high volume of new users is not a coincidence; "It shows that Tussam's planning works and that the neighbors respond," he highlighted. "With this new extension of the CJ1 line, we continue working with a clear model: anticipate the needs of new neighborhoods, such as Palmas Altas, and structure the city to offer the best service to Sevillians who are moving to this large area of urban growth," the delegate stressed. Line CJ1, which has its head in San Bernardo, will maintain its usual stops at Prado de San Sebastián (Avenida del Cid), Paseo Las Delicias, Avenida de la Palmera (Bueno Monreal), Padre García Tejero (Heliópolis) and Isla Natura in Palmas Altas. The design of this route will maintain an express line model, configured with a smaller number of stops to provide the greatest possible speed in movements between the south of the city and the center. The service will operate during its usual hours, from 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The terminal in San Bernardo and the stop in Prado de San Sebastián make it possible to transfer with Cercanías, Metro, Metrocentro and numerous Tussam lines, thus facilitating accessibility from any area of the city. On the other hand, at the stops on Las Delicias promenade, transfers will be made possible with lines 3 and 6, which connect, in addition to Los Remedios and Triana, the entire northern sector of the city and the Plaza de Armas bus station, and at the Padre García Tejero stop (Heliópolis), in addition to the previous ones, with lines 2 and 34. Tussam will assign two vehicles to both the morning and afternoon shifts, which will allow establishing passage frequencies of between 28 and 30 minutes. In terms of capacity, this generates a daily offer of 70 expeditions, 35 in each direction, making a total of 5,600 daily seats available to users, 2,800 in each direction.
