The date of the bullfight coincided with the day on which Francisco Rivera 'Paquirri' lost his life in the same ring, killed by the bull Avispado of the Sayalero y Bandrés ranch, the newspaper reported. A strict minute of silence was held after the paseíllo of the matadors.
