Journalists from the Spanish newspaper El Mundo entered the area of the Gaza Strip controlled by Israel, a zone the paper reports has been expanded in recent months. The reporting took place shortly before the third anniversary of the October 7 attack, with the devastated enclave still an open front, according to the newspaper's account.
"We do everything possible to avoid attacks and infiltrations," an officer said in the enclave, according to El Mundo.
The paper frames its story around Hamas's tunnels, quoting a warning that the terrorists may be able to stay underground for many months.
