Spanish news outlets moved quickly to report that a 17-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted on Playa del Trampolín, in the autonomous city of Ceuta, El Mundo reports.
The newspaper, which says it was able to establish what happened, reports that the supposed victim in fact showed no sign of any aggression, while she did display erratic behavior.
"They believe that reporting abuse brings them closer to obtaining asylum," police sources told El Mundo.
