Coalición Canaria, the nationalist party that governs the Canary Islands together with the Partido Popular, has set its sights on winning three congressional seats in the 29 November elections, ABC España reports.
Meeting that target depends on recovering the second seat for the province of Tenerife, currently held by the party's parliamentary spokesperson, Cristina Valido, and on securing representation once more in the Las Palmas constituency.
In Las Palmas, the formation led by Fernando Clavijo will stand in coalition with Primero Canarias as it pursues that seat, according to the outlet.
Primero Canarias is a recently created group whose attention is fixed on the coming municipal elections, which makes this campaign a rehearsal that could influence how future governments are put together.
