The magistrate who investigated David Sánchez, the brother of Spain's head of government, told the Audiencia Nacional on Thursday that she felt watched and anguished while handling the case, according to ABC España.
Her statement, made alongside the latest report from the Guardia Civil's Central Operative Unit (UCO), is the first to give faces to the manoeuvres she described, the newspaper reported.
Beatriz Biedma said several lawyers alerted her to movements against her, and that people presented themselves as her brother or as her secretary — she has neither — in order to approach her own circle and that of her children.
ABC adds that the accounts begin to sketch a far broader tangle of figures and previously unknown connections surrounding the case.
