Alenda is a restaurant in Villaviciosa, in the northern Spanish region of Asturias, that operates with only two people: Lola Palacio and Iñaki Gómez. The pair opened their dining room four years ago, according to El Mundo.

"Llorábamos cuando atendíamos una única mesa al día" — Lola Palacio and Iñaki Gómez, as quoted by El Mundo.

El Mundo describes the early period as hard, but presents the restaurant today as the "different" option in a part of Spain where fabada and cachopo are the reference dishes.

The Michelin guide already has Alenda on its radar, the newspaper adds.
