Abdul Hussein, who fights under the nickname 'King', is aiming to take the UFC throne from Hecher Sosa, according to ABC España. The fighter holds a record of 16 wins and two defeats.

Hussein was born in 1997 in a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon, and his family left the country a few months after his birth to settle in Finland. He grew up there and built his sporting career without abandoning his roots: he represents the country of a thousand lakes while also claiming the land of his parents, a dual identity made visible every time he steps into the octagon carrying both flags.

His childhood was not easy. He landed in Finland at barely two months old and lived precariously alongside his seven siblings. The eldest of them, Akram, was a key figure in his love for combat sports, since he used to practice with his brothers and sisters at home.

Hussein discovered mixed martial arts in 2014, when he was only 17, after watching the first season of the UFC reality show 'The Ultimate Fighter'. A few months later he began training MMA together with Akram while he was graduating as a car mechanic.
