The shopping basket leaves bad news for the Spanish once again. The prices of food and basic necessities do not stop rising and there have already been several weeks and months of constant increases that have brought a good part of the population to an extreme situation. While the authorities highlight the country's supposed macroeconomic growth, the pressure continues to fall on households that are increasingly reaching the end of the month. Those who can at least do it and feel privileged for it. Filling the refrigerator has become an almost impossible task for many families. Products such as green legumes and lettuce have risen 15% annually. Fresh citrus fruits, 17%. And beef and fish between 7% and 9.4%. Another of the products that is most consumed in Spain and that at the same time has increased the most according to the periodic data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) regarding the Consumer Price Index (CPI) are eggs. Whatever the format, the average increase is between 8.5% and 12.5% ​​compared to last year. For this reason, consumers ask themselves again and again the question of how much these types of products cost in different supermarkets in the hope of being able to avoid or, at least, cushion the relentless impact of inflation.
