Autumn has officially begun, but the weather in Catalonia will continue to have features more typical of the end of summer this weekend. Temperatures will remain high for the dates and stability will be the protagonist in much of the territory during Saturday and much of Sunday. This is indicated by the latest Meteocat forecasts. Looking ahead to the weekend of September 26 and 27, the organization anticipates that "the meteorological tranquility and warm atmosphere" will continue throughout Saturday, while on Sunday a change will begin to be perceived, especially in high mountain areas. Friday the 25th will serve as a prelude to this scenario. The forecast points to a stable day in much of Catalonia, with high temperatures during the central hours and few meteorological complications. Meteocat also maintains for Saturday a panorama without notable precipitation in cities such as Barcelona, Gerona or Tarragona. On Saturday, September 26, clear skies or some high clouds will predominate in large areas. In Barcelona, Meteocat predicts values of up to about 26 degrees; in Gerona it could reach 28, while Tarragona will move around 27 degrees. At these three points, the agency's models do not consider precipitation during the day. Night temperatures will, however, show important differences between the coast and the interior. While Barcelona will remain above 20 degrees for much of the night, in Gerona the thermometers can drop to approximately 13 degrees. On Sunday the 27th, the warm atmosphere will generally continue, although Meteocat is already pointing to the first signs of a change in weather. This will be noticed mainly in the high mountains, where the southwest wind will be reinforced.
