El País reports that on Thursday night, Junts announced it would reject the two housing decrees in Congress. Rumors then spread through party Telegram groups that Pedro Sánchez was considering an early election.

According to the paper, Enrique Santiago, parliamentary spokesperson for IU, is calling for general elections to be held, while Podemos prefers to bring a new decree to Congress first.
