Close to 1,400 workers lost their jobs Wednesday at the plant that had been Navistar's truck factory in southwestern Ohio, according to Arab News. The layoffs landed three days before a Donald Trump rally scheduled for Saturday at a high school in the area.
One of those let go was Kyle Bos, who drank tea from beer mugs alongside his coworkers as he recounted how his life is changing. He is the father of two daughters and expects a third child in January.
Bos also described the strain of grocery shopping, saying five items now cost him as much as a full cart once did, Arab News reported.
