Lebanon is seeking Turkey's backing for its bid to join a railway project intended to connect Turkey with the Gulf, Al-Monitor reports. The line would run through Syria and Jordan, with Beirut aiming to attach its own ports to the route.
The project is described as a Syria-Saudi rail link that Ankara supports as part of a wider Turkey-to-Gulf corridor.
