Airports in Kazan and Nizhnekamsk have stopped handling flights after temporary restrictions were put in place, Russia's federal air transport agency Rosaviatsia said, according to a report by Interfax.

"Temporary restrictions have been introduced on the reception and departure of aircraft," the agency said, in a message carried on its channel in the Max messenger and cited by Interfax.

The restrictions apply to both incoming and outgoing aircraft at the two airports, the announcement stated.
