Canarian mixed martial arts fighter Hecher Sosa appears to be on course for his second UFC bout, with the fight lined up for 28 November in Saudi Arabia, according to ABC España. Known as El Guanche Warrior, Sosa made his promotional debut in March with a victory over Luan Lacerda despite taking the fight on short notice.

The fighter had spent months asking to be matched with an opponent and a date, a request that had not produced results, the newspaper reported. In an interview with ABC, Sosa said his representative has guaranteed him a fight before the year is out.

"I've been asking for a fight for a long time, but my weight class is the one with the most fighters in the UFC. My manager has assured me I'll fight before the end of the year, so I'm ready to fight whoever, whenever. When they call me, I'm ready."

Alongside his fighting career, Sosa is moving into promotion, working to establish his own league, Guanche Warriors Championship, inside the Spanish MMA scene, he told ABC España.
