The president of Spain's Constitutional Court, Conde-Pumpido, has agreed to soften his criticism of the Supreme Court over the amnesty granted to the leaders of the procés, according to El Mundo.

The court's plenary will debate this Tuesday the amparo appeals lodged by Turull and Bassa and will correct the criteria set by the Supreme Court's Second Chamber, the newspaper reports.

El Mundo adds that the draft ruling drawn up by the Constitutional Court president has been badly received at the Supreme Court.
