US President Donald Trump repeated his grievances on Friday about being denied the Nobel Peace Prize, describing the outcome as disgraceful and embarrassing and saying it left a stain on Norway, the country that hosts the Nobel committee.

His remarks followed by hours the committee's announcement that this year's laureate is Navi Pillay, a former International Criminal Court judge who oversaw a United Nations report that concluded Israel committed genocide in Gaza, according to Arab News.

Trump referred to Pillay as a "mystery person."
