US President Donald Trump published what he said was the phone number of a Republican senator on Saturday, according to Arab News, amid a growing dispute over whether to make daylight saving time permanent.
In the social media post, the president encouraged people to call the number, which he said belonged to Senator Tom Cotton, an Arkansas Republican. Cotton has come out against the Trump-backed Sunshine Protection Act, the report said.
That legislation would put an end to the practice of shifting clocks by one hour twice a year. Trump says most Americans want more afternoon daylight.
