Paddy Pimblett has warned Ilia Topuria that a fight between them inside the UFC cage would be over in very little time, according to ABC España. The British fighter said the bout would unfold much like Conor McGregor's meeting with Jose Aldo.
"I would beat him as fast as McGregor beat Aldo," Pimblett said, in comments reported by ABC España.
McGregor's stoppage of Aldo stands as the quickest knockout in the history of a championship bout and of the featherweight division, the outlet noted, lasting 13 seconds. Pimblett holds that a matchup with the Spanish-Georgian fighter could mirror those 13 seconds.
Known in the cage as "The Baddy", Pimblett has repeatedly made clear he believes the time has come to stage one of the biggest rivalries in the UFC, the sport's leading mixed martial arts promotion. Whenever he gets the chance, the Englishman uses his public remarks to stoke the feud and push the possible fight with "El Matador" closer, the report added, noting that opinions about who would win such a bout have shifted.
