The project for line 3 South of the Seville Metro will undergo some modifications to adapt to the requests of the City Council and several neighborhood associations in the capital of Seville. This was announced this morning by the Minister of Development, Mario Muñoz-Atanet, and the mayor José Luis Sanz in an appearance before the media at the end of the work meeting that both held at the Town Hall. In it they have confirmed that the Andalusian Government has made the decision to incorporate into the study of suburban alternatives the allegations presented by both the municipal government and the affected residents, so that the metro will pass underground along Bellavista Avenue and not on the surface as initially planned. Of course, it will do so while maintaining the same route and the same stops planned at origin. It will not be the only novelty that is incorporated into the project, since it has also been decided to respond to the requests received to modify the route of line 3 South of the Seville metro through the Los Bermejales neighborhood. There it will also continue to go underground, but at the end it will come to the surface to cross the SE-30 via a viaduct and, from there, join the new developments of the City of Justice and the Palmas Altas neighborhood. These are the two major changes presented by the complete layout of line 3 South of the Seville Metro, which will complete the works that are being carried out right now in the northern section, between Pino Montano and the Prado de San Sebastián, and which must be in operation by the year 2030. All in all, line 3 South of the Seville Metro, on which the Ministry of Development of the Junta de Andalucía is working, will allow the connection of the Prado de San Sebastián with the Valme Hospital through twelve stops and a route that will extend for 9.3 kilometers. The arrival of the suburban to the southern area of the Seville capital will mean that residents of neighborhoods such as Bermejales, Palmas Altas, Jardines de Hércules, Bellavista or the future housing development in Cortijo de Cuarto will have a line 3 stop practically a maximum of 500 meters from their homes. Among the new features of its itinerary are that, in addition to Bellavista as announced this morning, it will also go underground along Palmera Avenue, which will be a relief for the circulation of one of the areas of the city that supports a greater volume of traffic. In total, line 3 South of the Seville Metro will have twelve stops, the same as the North section of this line. The first of them, after leaving the large interchange that will become the Prado de San Sebastián station and where it will connect with line 1, will be on Avenida de la Borbolla. From there, it will have two stops on Avenida de la Palmera, one at the intersection with Cardenal Bueno Monreal and another in the surroundings of the Virgen del Rocío Hospital. The next stop will be at the Plus Ultra roundabout, next to the Benito Villamarín Stadium. Another one will be established on Jerez Avenue, from where it will turn onto Germany Avenue until it joins the Los Bermejales neighborhood. There, in this area of the city, there will be another station. The next one will be in the City of Justice and there will be another, later, that will cover the new urban developments that are being built in the Palmas Altas neighborhood. The rest of the stations will be in Bellavista: one at the Jardines de Hércules roundabout, another at the beginning of Bellavista boulevard and a last one at the Valme Hospital.
