Russia is continuing its strikes on Kyiv and has begun aiming at the bridges that join the two banks of the Ukrainian capital, according to RFI, which described the situation as "on the edge of the precipice".
In the night from Thursday 1 to Friday 2 October, the southern bridge was hit, RFI reported, causing serious disruption for people accustomed to crossing the Dnipro by metro or by car.
The resulting road chaos is expected to continue for the whole weekend, the outlet added, amounting to a further ordeal for the inhabitants of the capital.
