Prayers, kisses, bouquets of flowers and compliments have filled the day of the festival of Santa María de la Merced in the parish of San Antonio de Padua. The brotherhood of La Merced has placed the Virgin in hand kisses throughout the day on Thursday, a moment that hundreds of devotees have taken advantage of to have her closer, the year in which the half century of her arrival is being commemorated.
