Meduza reports: The election of a new head of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) provoked a political scandal in Ukraine. The National Chess Federation of Ukraine criticized the appointment of Timur Turlov, a Kazakh entrepreneur who lived and did business in Russia for many years.
