Josh Hokit has renewed his attack on Ilia Topuria, using the announcement of his next fight to take another swipe at the Spanish-Georgian fighter, according to ABC España. The American is set to face Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight belt at UFC 335 at Madison Square Garden, and the outlet says he seized the moment to target 'El Matador' once more.
'In another era you would be extinct' — Josh Hokit, in the threat reported by ABC España.
According to ABC, the dispute did not start with this latest exchange. It began with an altercation at the UFC Freedom 250 press conference in Washington. Hokit, known inside the cage as 'The Incredible Hok,' has not stopped trying to intensify the hostility, the outlet reports.
ABC describes Hokit as a figure whose prominence has grown quickly since he arrived in the UFC. He is undefeated in the cage and has a 90% finish rate, the outlet says. His conduct outside it has also drawn attention, from media appearances the report characterizes as seeming possessed to weigh-ins involving vomiting and altercations with other fighters.
The outlet adds that whenever Hokit is under the spotlight, he leaves no one indifferent. His persona, ABC says, can draw only two reactions from MMA fans: laughter or hatred.
