Iran's delegation has no intention of holding negotiations with the United States in New York, according to an informed source cited by the IRNA agency and reported by Interfax.
"The agenda of the Iranian delegation does not include an item on a new round of negotiations with the American side, and the foreign minister will return home on Tuesday after the completion of planned events," the source said.
Under that schedule, the foreign minister travels back once the programmed engagements in New York are finished.
Separately, Axios reported that the US-Iran talks in New York had reached an impasse, Interfax said, adding that the secretary of state demanded that the Iranian delegation leave the country immediately.
