As autumn arrives and the cold months set in, the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche Natural Park in Huelva province takes on yellow, orange and brown tones, according to ABC España. The outlet places one of the region's seasonal draws in that park, where beach trips give way to mountain and countryside outings.
A specific route connects the municipalities of Fuenteheridos, Galaroza and Castaño del Robledo, passing through what residents call the "Bosque Encantado", or Enchanted Forest. Walkers spend nearly the whole way in the shade of cork oaks, pines and very large chestnut trees that have stood for decades and in some cases centuries, ABC reports.
An easy walk with minimal effort
Each stretch of the route runs about six kilometres. According to ABC, the most comfortable option is to set out from Fuenteheridos, following the calleja del Valle to join the old path that drops toward Galaroza. Because the way is almost continuously downhill, the physical effort needed is small.
ABC frames the trail as one of several natural settings across Andalusia suited to open-air plans in the colder season, when the region's varied landscapes shift into autumn colour.
