The co-pilot who attacked the captain of a Flydubai flight has been identified as an Omani national, according to television reporting cited by TASS.
ABC News sources said that extremist materials belonging to the man had been discovered in 2024, the report said.
According to the same report, investigators have still not established how he came to be cleared to serve as a co-pilot on a Flydubai flight.
