El Salvador will hold its presidential election on 28 February 2027, the country's electoral tribunal announced Wednesday, according to France 24.
President Nayib Bukele is a candidate for reelection and is pursuing a third term in office.
Should he win the vote, Bukele could remain at the head of the country until 2033, France 24 reported.
