Copper advanced together with other metals as Chinese traders came back from a week-long holiday in a buying frame of mind, according to Bloomberg Markets.
Trading activity across Asian markets had been temporarily dampened while Chinese participants were away for the holiday, and their return brought a more active tone back to the metals complex.
