Brazilian right-wing Senator Flavio Bolsonaro said on Thursday that he has secured the backing of Augusto Cury for the October 25 runoff against leftist President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
Cury, an author and psychiatrist representing the Avante party, placed third in Sunday's first round with 2.89 percent of the valid votes.
According to Arab News, Bolsonaro posted a video on social media showing Cury announcing the endorsement, which came after local media reported that the psychiatrist was leaning toward him.
