Private colleges around Australia are offering last-minute discounts to rush students into the graduate diploma of management (learning) before the federal government cancels it, according to Guardian Australia.
The government announced in early September that it would deregister the qualification in October, after suspecting it was being used by "non-genuine" students as a way to remain in the country. Concerns had been raised that the diploma was "misused by shonks".
